These are concept drawings for the project.  These concept drawings are made using a computer program called a 3-D design program.  There are many programs available to do this kind of work.  These are the same kind of computer programs used to make movies like "Shreck" or "Toy Story", movie special effects, design car and rocket parts, in fact most things we now use that are manufactured.  I use Caligari's Truespace.    This particular program can generate computer files called .stl files that can be used by the stereolithography machine.
