Stereolithography and Silver Casting
This is a photo of the piece as it arrived from American Precision. The material is a soft white translucent color. It is a hard plastic, kind of like PVC. It is easy to sand to smooth out the tiny lines created during the process. I ordered the part without any finishing so I could see what a raw part was like. I probably did not need to do any work on it as most of the lines would be removed in finishing the silver. The next step is mold making, click HERE to go to the next page.

The piece as received. The bottom ones are closer to the true color.
